Job Title: Sales Surveyor / Business Development Manager

Salary: £30k – £40k (£50k-£60k OTE)

The role:

An integral part of our sales department. You will be working to develop our relationship with existing customers, convert new leads as well as working to bring new clients to the business.

This is a first-class opportunity for an experienced sales surveyor to join an established growing and forward-thinking fire and security company and achieve high earnings coupled with career development. You will be able to meet monthly targets, have great communication skills, be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hardworking, and reliable. You will make great relationships within our team and help to expand our extensive existing client base and grow the business in-line with our plans.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • A good knowledge of IT as you will be expected to work to our sales process with our ‘Alarm Master’ software.
  • Weekly status meetings with Sales Manager to discuss your KPI’s
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation and client base.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver/present information effectively.
  • The ability to organise effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Survey installations, engaging with the prospective client and advising on the design, method, final specification and costing of the system
  • Conducting site risk assessments and conveying it to the installation manager.
  • Updating the company dashboard and your personal sales spreadsheet
  • Constantly review of the current sales processes and work to improve them.
  • Meet or exceed the company sales monthly/annual targets and margins.
  • Responsible for maintaining a great customer relationship.
  • Following up and keeping in touch.

Essential experience, qualifications and skills

  • A minimum of 5 years’ time served experience, working to industry standards within the security systems industry.
  • You should have a good level of product knowledge of multiple disciplines from fire, intruder, cctv and access control and knowledge of the appropriate standards.
  • You will be able to complete BS7858 security screening and have a full UK driving license (with a maximum of 3 points).
  • You need to be polite and courteous and have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • You need to be able to use your judgement and make decisions.
  • You ideally live within 30 miles of Nuneaton.
  • Have the ability to be managed and adhere to processes.
  • Have good attention to detail.
