Job Title: Quality Controller

Who we are:
The company is based in Consett, County Durham and specialises in the reverse engineering of rotating equipment. We service and repair all varieties of large industrial pumps; spare parts are manufactured in our own machine shop via reverse engineering. We are at an exciting point in our development and this is a new position in the Quality Department which has arisen due to considerable growth.
Job Summary
The successful applicant will report directly to the Quality Manager.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensure that all QA/QC requirements are as detailed on customer PO.
- Ensure parts manufacture and service work complies with customer requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring all QA/QC documents are collated into quality data pack for customer, following their procedures.
- Ensure that finished goods are correctly packaged and that all documents are correct so that shipping can be arranged.
- Ensure that all quality paperwork meets the company’s quality system standards ISO9001:2015.
- Dealing with non-conformances:
- entering onto MRP system.
- investigating root causes.
- follow-up to ensure closure of all actions.
- ensuring MRP system is kept up-dated at all times.
- Checking certificate of conformances from suppliers.
Person Specification:
- Experience of working with ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP system.
- Ability to read engineering drawings would be an advantage.
- Self-motivated.
- Very well-organised.
- Good time-management skills.
- Methodical approach.
