Job Title: Project Officer

Project Officer required by charity based in Aylesbury supporting people with drug and alcohol misuse across Aylesbury & the Chilterns. This is a fixed term contract until June 2023.
Building Better Opportunities in Buckinghamshire is working with individuals to overcome barriers, as well as to support and develop the key organisations and partners in the network. The role of the Building Futures Project Officer is to provide support for people by encouraging, enabling and facilitating progression through individual, group and partnership working.
About the role:
- To work as part of the Building Futures team responsible for the delivery of the Building Futures Project across Aylesbury & the Chilterns as required
- To contribute to the delivery of the Building Futures Partnership Agreement
- To contribute to ensuring that the outputs, targets and outcomes for the project are achieved
- Embrace the concept of Routes to Work (RTW) support for those furthest from the job market by providing 1-1 support, groups and opportunities
- Recruit participants to the project with consideration of our contract terms
About you:
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor the message to the audience
- Collaborative team working skills
- Adaptable and able to work in a challenging and changeable environment
- Ability to deliver against agreed objectives and targets
- Professional conduct, strong administrative skills, confident communicator, networking skills, report-writing and flexibility are all preferred
- An understanding of the participant group, their challenges and barriers to RTW
- A track record of working with the client group
- Experience of managing a case load
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS
