Job Title: Administrator – Valuations Hub

Location: Remote

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Job Type: Full Time, 37.5 hours p/w Fixed term contract

Bruton Knowles LLP is an independently owned Chartered Surveying practice who provide a comprehensive range of surveying and property services.

We’ve taken on new, innovative ways of working to deliver our services and we’ve created a new strategy to target key areas of growth for the business, resulting in the launch our new Utilities and Infrastructure team, our new National Valuation Team and further development for our Rural team whilst bolstering our activity in commercial, planning and development.

The Position:

We are looking to appoint an Administrator to run the Valuations Hub and be the first point of contact with our clients.

Main Responsibilities, Tasks and Key Duties:

  • The role involves liaising with bankers, lending panels and private clients and responding to quotes in a timely manner and receiving new instructions.
  • There is a big focus on keeping our clients regularly updated with inspection dates and meeting report turnaround times.
  • The role also involves opening new jobs and allocating these to surveyors and raising invoices.
  • You will need to be confident in liaising with our team of surveyors, valuation technicians and valuation administrators on a daily basis and really make the role the role your own, whilst working to quick turnaround times.
  • This is a home-based position with access to any of our offices around the UK.

The Candidate:

  • The job will require someone who has analytical, administrative and organisational skills together with leadership experience.
  • You will form part of a dedicated Valuation team working to agreed deadlines that are critical to our business success.
  • The role will require attention to detail when looking at documentation, databases and preparing plans, and the candidate must be able to demonstrate the need for accuracy in reporting and communication.
  • Training will be provided, and continual monitoring undertaken.

The successful candidate will:

  • Educated to A level standard.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a confidence to communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing.
  • Experience of managing and assisting a small team.
  • The necessary confidence and personal; organisation skills to become part of a busy team in a fast-moving environment.
  • Able to work in an organised and methodical manner, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change.
  • Accept responsibility and, within parameters defined by the immediate performance manager, work on own initiative as required.
  • Good working knowledge of IT.
