The role:
We are urgently looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter operator (Turning and Milling) to join our new CNC machining section of our business based in Chesterfield. If you are immediately available and looking for a new role as a CNC Programmer (Turning and milling) – this is a great chance to join a growing company.
An Excellent Opportunity to join a small tight knit team in an exciting and technically diverse role, where you will be responsible in the programming of brand-new machines including Mills and lathes. (Doosan MYNX 9500 and Doosan LYNX 2100ly)
The Candidate:
- Tight tolerance experience
- Able to understand the manufacturing process
- Strong knowledge of Machining various metals
- Apprenticeship background and/or fully trained as a CNC programmer with a strong background in engineering
- At least 5-10 years CNC Offline and online Programming experience is essential
- Strong experience setting and operating machines
- Competently set and operate milling and turning machines with Fanuc online control
- Strong computer skills
- Competent in self inspection using necessary equipment
- Ability to independently interpret and work to engineering drawings and 3D models
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Datum system
- Ability to work, as a team player
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Set and programme bar fed/multi-axis CNC machines
- Programme using solid works Fusion 360 and inventor
- experience of both online and offline programming
- Work with drawings and specifications
- Communicate effectively and aid, when necessary, the setting up process
- Prove out new jobs
