This role will give the right candidate opportunities to work with programme leaders and course directors to grow our existing as well as new offerings in our flagship pathway of degree accreditation.

Degree Programme Overview
TechSkills degree programme is where Tech Industry Gold accreditation all started. This is our flagship programme and with the advent of a new core offering, we are now looking to grow the number of HEI’s we work with.
Having played a leading role in transforming degree provision to meet industry needs for future talent, we are now looking to increase our reach and grow our impact in the academic degree space. Demand for digital skills amongst employers continues to grow and we believe there is huge potential for this to increase as we grow our number of partners and enhance our offering to learners.
The successful candidate will work with the TechSkills Director to develop a strategy for growth, to bring on board new higher education institutions and increase our student numbers.
They will also work with Marketing and the Client Services Team to develop our existing programme of communications and student activity to support current and future revenues.
Developing successful partnerships is essential to everything we do and this role will act as a focal point developing and maintaining these through liaison with key stakeholders including Course Leaders within Universities and Employer talent teams.
As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with other team members and the wider team at techUK to deliver value to education partners and increase our Tech Industry Gold community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and then implement the sales strategy to increase new customers and revenue plus student numbers
- Work alongside Client Services Development to design new offerings to meet market demand
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and take a targeted approach to new potential partnership opportunities
- Work alongside the Client Service Delivery team to ensure customer satisfaction of existing customers and retention of business
- Working effectively as part of a small team to make a big impact
- Building our employer and university communities through strong service and promotion of our activities
- Working alongside Marketing and the Client Services team to design, deliver and promote events that highlight the degree pathway
- Attend relevant events and conferences (locally and nationally) to build contacts and networks and promote the TechSkills value proposition to prospective HEIs/learning providers
- Extensive travel to conduct customer visits will be required across the UK during university term time

Person Specification
Essential:
- Extensive experience in sales and/or business development
- Knowledge of the Higher Education landscape in the UK
- Clear demonstration of personal impact: this is a ‘hands on’ role that will require someone who welcomes the opportunity to put ideas into action and deliver outstanding results
- A proactive decision-maker who is able to effectively analyse marketing data and create and deliver plans based on insights to support the organisational goals
- Good working knowledge of digital tools and how they can be used to support collaborative and effective working practices with both internal and external stakeholders
Desired:
- Experience in working in the tech sector, training or academic environments.
- Expertise in working with universities and employers.
- Previous work in the accreditation and training landscape in digital skills and an understanding of trade associations/membership bodies.
This is a full-time role, reporting to the TechSkills Director. The role is home based, you can be based anywhere in the UK, with extensive travel across the UK.
The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK prior to the commencement of employment.
