Bruton Knowles LLP is an independently owned Chartered Surveying practice who provide a comprehensive range of surveying and property services. Our geographic reach covers the whole of England and Wales with clients in utilities and infrastructure, valuation, commercial, planning and development, and rural.
We’ve taken on new, innovative ways of working to deliver our services and we’ve created a new strategy to target key areas of growth for the business, resulting in the launch our new Utilities and Infrastructure team, our new National Valuation Team and further development for our Rural team whilst bolstering our activity in commercial, planning and development.
The Role:
As the Client Delivery Manager, you will support the Utilities Division in constantly reviewing and enhancing the profitability of services we deliver, in pursuance of this you will manage a team of administrators who are based in locations across the country as well as influencing a number of Chartered Surveyors/Project Managers to deliver an efficient and profitable service through their teams of Land Rights Officers and Technicians. The position is a mixture of home based with occasional travel to Bruton Knowles offices.
Duties Include:
- You will support the delivery of complex contracts ensuring delivery in accordance with instructions and the timely adjustment of instructions and budgets in accordance with clients evolving project scope. This will be achieved by matching resource to work requirements in terms of scale and expertise along with financial oversight and prompt alertness to project drift against the agreed contracts.
- You will create a positive operational change environment where employees are focused on delivering better financial outcomes for BK and outcomes for our clients.
- Oversee the effective delivery of the service in accordance with company and client requirements, processes and procedures, policies, regulatory and professional standards.
- Monitor the team to ensure suitably qualified and experienced employees are directed to relevant work in a timely manner and ensure that all contributors have the skills to perform relevant tasks. Monitor delivery, quality and financial performance ensuring all performance indicators are consistently achieved.
- Ensure recording of all work against a system, including work in progress and completed tasks, and ensure all documentation relating to the work is completed, recorded, and distributed in a timely manner whilst constantly looking for process improvements supported by technology to deliver an enhanced client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial performance and wellbeing of the U&I team and support the U&I Equity Partners and employees through the change journey.
- Review the performance management responsibilities with the U&I Equity Partners and agree a wider reach of performance management as the role evolves with a focus on profit improvement.
- Support business development initiatives and bids
- Manage multiple technical processes and change projects including the workflow of nationwide remote teams.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have service/operations/process expertise with experience of being in a client facing role with the ability to engage with and manage the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
As the Client Delivery Manager, you will have strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to communicate matters to individuals of varying seniority and technical knowhow. You’ll have a flexible and proactive approach to working and have the ability to focus strategically as well as be a hands-on leader.
Qualifications
An industry qualification such as Six Sigma, PRINCE2, ‘Agile’ project management or those offered by the Association of Project Management (APM), is desirable.
