The Role:

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities within the UK. Responsible for managing and directing a sales team and provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with revenue targets. Working closely with the marketing team, establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contribute to the mentoring and development of the team to ensure individual, team and company objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the performance and development of the lead generator, account executive and channel executive team members.
  • Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Conducts documented monthly one-to-one review with all team members to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance.
  • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and activity reports submitted by all team members.
  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Recruit and select sales team members; account executives and lead generators, based on criteria agreed upon by Senior Management.
  • Ensure that all Account Execs, Lead Generators and Channel Executives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
  • Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Set examples for the sales team in areas of personal character, commitment, organisational and selling skills, and good work behaviour.
  • Conduct regular coaching and mentoring with the team to build motivation and selling skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact and co-operate with all employees.
  • Ensure that all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies and ethics codes of conduct.
  • Attend networking events to build brand and grow network.
  • Develop and adapt your skills to meet the growing needs of the team and business.

Qualifications and Managerial Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in sales (SaaS) or similar Tech background is preferred
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
  • Ability to manage people/HR issues and escalate to Chief Commercial Officer and/or HR when required.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the sales process and customer behaviour.
  • Solid understanding of the SaaS market and business model.
  • Great at self-assessment.
  • Ability to adjust your approach to each prospect.
  • Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue pipeline in our CRM.
  • Analytical.

Additional:

  • Possess a full UK driving licence.
  • Travel may be required, therefore, flexibility is essential.
