Job Title: Continuous Improvement Technician
Location: Haslingden
Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 per annum
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
The Role:
To support the Factory Manager and the operations teams with day-to-day tasks. Gathering and collating data for relevant managers for analysis to determine key data for continuous improvement and development.
Key Duties:
- Provision of data analysis support to support continuous improvement projects
- Looking to improve efficiencies – in the factory OEE continually
- Admin; Attending Meetings, producing reports, making presentations
- Conducting internal and external quality, hygiene process and factory audits, proposing opportunities for improvements
- Leading Kaizen events
- Working towards KPI’s
- Extracting data from the ERP/MRP system into MS Dynamics and Excel spreadsheets
About you:
- A methodical and logical approach to tasks
- Great attention to detail
- To be inquisitive and have good problem-solving skills
- To have outstanding interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- Confidence to make decisions
- Ability to work independently while working to deadlines
Knowledge, Training and Experience (not essential as full training will be provided)
- Capable of using MS Excel and Database / ERP / MRP capability
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and the implementation of these techniques.
- KanBan, SMED, Single piece flow, 7 wastes, 5S.
