Job Title: Production & Supply Chain Manager
Location: CM9 5FA, Maldon, Essex.
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Eppendorf Cryotech are currently looking to recruit a production and supply chain manager equipped to join our journey of sustained growth and continuous improvement in a vibrant product market. This will include the commissioning of a new warehouse facility.

- Experience of manufacturing business systems (SAP, INFOR)
- Optimisation of inventory levels
- Control and flow of all materials through operations, always looking for ways in which this can be improved.
- Ability to put together and communicate business cases for management team and business stakeholders.
- Represent manufacturing operations at management team level, the emphasis on team.
- Understanding of operations financial accounting including all necessary controls.
- Experience of HR related topics, including absence monitoring, disciplinary procedures, improvement plans and coaching.
This position calls for a hands on and visible leader with the ability to inspire the team.
Key Duties:
- Promoting a safety 1st Culture
- Responsible for end to end delivery from ordering materials to shipment of final product
- Delivery of production requirements to an improving production plan, quality level and product cost.
- Operations budget setting and monitoring with associated cost reduction program
- Day to day management of 60+ staff
- Part of Site management team
- Ensuring all areas have risk assessment and COSHH in place
- Create departmental goals which drive the company wide strategic plan
- Creation and delivery of production plan
- Delivery of operations continuous improvement plan
- Developing reporting teams and individuals
- Management of material flows, including warehousing and shipment.
- Monitor and improve stock holding requirements and stock accuracy
- Ensuring all team members receive the appropriate training.
- Regular review of forecast versus installed capacity, with appropriate improvement program
About you:
- Qualified to degree or equivalent level
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies including 5S, TAKT time, problem solving and value stream mapping.
- Experience of managing multi-disciplined teams to achieve high targets
