Job Title: Senior Hardware Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Hardware Manager who is responsible for the forecasting and call off of all Telecoms radio equipment, for example BTS/antenna/RHH, required to meet the rollout plan and line management of the Radio Equipment Managers.
About the role:
The Technical Gating Lead is responsible for management and support of the technical team that includes Build, Electrical, Rigging and BTS disciplines and the creation/breakdown for producing detailed scope of works to then align towards understood deployment execution.
This also covers the commercial rate card call-offs to support the planned approach for SOW inc’ materials, plant. Helping prioritise workload and troubleshooting issues with the teams.
Key tasks:
- Using rollout plan and associated documentation to provide accurate long-range forecast for radio equipment to be free issued by customer
- Perform resource allocations and workload assignments according to delivery requirements
- Manage & have regular meetings with suppliers/partners to ensure they meet delivery timescales in accordance with SLA’s
- Be the main project interface on matters regarding forecasting and call off of all radio equipment
- Receive & validate all relevant instructions from the client where required
- Ensure equipment is called off from customer warehouse in line with rollout plan
- Working closely with end customer to ensure availability of radio equipment
- Working with Radio equipment Vendor product line to ensure availability of radio equipment
- Staying abreast of latest design configurations and equipment
- Build strong working relations with internal and external stakeholders
- Be proactive in resolving issues in supply chain to ensure rollout plan can be maintained
- Escalate any equipment issues impacting schedule to the Senior Rollout Manager
- Work closely with the Technical Gating team & Dependency Managers to understand any changes in rollout plans impacting equipment availability
- Ensure all trackers are kept up to date and stored on shared drive
- Understand, adhere to and promote company policies and processes
- Line Management Duties – Appraisals, probation reviews, salary reviews, team updates
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Radio Equipment Managers and be their point of escalation for any issues.
About you:
- Proven track record in building effective relationships with customers
- Significant experience in telecommunication rollout projects
- Good Microsoft Office skills especially excel
- Previous experience of equipment forecasting and call off
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for line management duties
- Good communication skills
