Job Title: Despatch Operative

The Role:
As a Despatch Operative, you will be trained so you are confident cleaning, viewing and packing quality components from P & B’s manufacturing lines.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Preparing and packing cleaned / inspected parts for finished goods stock.
- Ensuring that adequate checks are undertaken as per QMS to validate the integrity of each count
- Ensuring that any quality issues are raised immediately with Supervisor/Manager
- Always ensure accurate data is inputted
- Stocktaking activities as required
- Checking all job cards have an inspection and cleaning stamp
- Checking all export for missing or damaged parts and contacts
- Inspecting work for bent parts, small contacts or bad plating
- Ensuring parts are correct as per the job number
- Progress chasing
- Despatch packed parts
- Assist in viewing
- Assist with despatch administration
- Maintain housekeeping standards within department at all times
- Support despatch department with others duties when required
- Ensure that Company Health and Safety policies/procedures are followed
- Report any changes/ concerns regarding jobs undertaken, updates as to urgent jobs and progress, and any health and safety concerns to the logistics supervisor
The Candidate:
- Previous experience working within a similar role in a Despatch department would be advantageous
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Display an ability to move between jobs roles and adapt to the changing needs of the customer as and when required
- Have a good working knowledge of IT (use of Word, Excel and E-mail)
- Desirable – Forklift Licence
