The Position:

As a Project Manager, your role has responsibility for project delivery ensuring delivery in line with time, cost and quality commitments on projects under your control. Delivery will be undertaken through a combination of internal engineering resource; sub-contractors and the company supply chain. You will be responsible for ensuring that appropriately skilled contractors are appointed to and in place to be able to delivery in line with the above

Key Responsibilities:

  • Man management – as part of the Management Team it is your main responsibility to manage the staff members and sub-contractors within your control to ensure that they function efficiently, correctly and follow all Health & Safety instructions
  • Ensure projects are delivered to programme and budget
  • Ensure all O&M information is delivered to the client on time
  • Consult with the Senior Project Manager for evaluating and managing all contracts
  • Maintain established profit margins and improve wherever possible Ascot Services UK Ltd company profits
  • Protect the interest of the company and foster good working relationships with clients, client advisors and subcontracting organisations
  • Respond to and follow up enquiries by email, telephone, and personal visits
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
  • Maintain and report on equipment and vehicle suitability and state of repair
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills

Plant and Equipment Responsibilities

  • Ensure materials and equipment delivered to site are adequately identified, and safely handled and stored to prevent loss, damage or injury
  • Ensure measuring and testing equipment required for the work area is properly identified, calibrated, adjusted and labelled
  • Ensure plant and equipment used on your projects is maintained in a safe condition and is regularly serviced

Personnel and Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Implement health, safety and environmental control measures on site
  • Carry out site audits including documentation verification
  • Carry out stop shift audits including documentation verification
  • Assist in close out of corrective action plans following audit and any incidents
  • Carry out tool box talks onsite
  • Assist QHSE and Compliance team in closing out of corrective action plans
  • Regularly review documentation being uploaded to the portals
  • Regularly review on site project documentation
  • Carry out any accident investigations in relation to their projects
  • Collate project documentation such as waste transfer notes and documents for post project health and safety files
  • Collate the site register and take part in any site-specific induction at the start of each project
  • Ensure that personal protective clothing and equipment appropriate to the work are worn
  • Ensure compliance with site safety rules
  • Provide regular, clear and concise reporting of projects completed, in progress and forecasted to the senior project manager
