The Role:
We’re looking for part time, temporary Warehouse Operatives to join the team here at our 1million sq. ft. Distribution Centre in Knowsley. Matalan are offering you the chance to build your career with one of the UK’s leading family retailers.
Joining our current team of operatives who process, pick, pack and dispatch stock to store or online orders to our valued customers. You’ll be a vital part of our Warehouse team, working together and accurately to ensure the delivery of our products in a timely manner.
Part Time Working hours
We have opportunities to work Monday to Friday on either of the following shift patterns
10:00am-2:00pm OR 6:00pm-10:00pm
We can discuss your preference upon your application.
T&Cs:
Peak period bonus (enhanced rate of additional £1 per hour)
- Non-contractual and for a limited period – under regular review and can be withdrawn at any time
- Applicable to all hourly paid KDC colleagues
- Full contracted hours must be worked during the Payroll period to qualify for the enhanced rate for that week
- Not applicable to sickness or other unplanned leave
Increased overtime rate to 1.5 x basic rate
- Non-contractual and for a limited period – under regular review and can be withdrawn at any time
- Applicable to all hourly paid KDC colleagues
- Full contracted hours must be worked during the Payroll period before overtime can be earned
- The 1.5 rate is applied to the ‘enhanced rate’
New Starter Bonus of £250
- Applicable to all new colleagues who join the business 9th August 2021onwards
- Must have successfully completed at least 12 weeks service with the business (inclusive of any holidays taken), and must still be in the business on 31st December 2021.
- The bonus will be payable in the next salary paid after 31st December 2021, unless 12 weeks service has not yet been completed – where this is the case, the bonus will be payable after 12 weeks successful service.
- Is not payable if subject to any investigation or disciplinary process, performance management or under absence review
- Must have 100% attendance in this period (excluding pre-authorised holidays)
- This is non-contractual and discretionary
