Job Title: Head of Business Development – FM Hard Services
Location: Atherton, Manchester, M46
Salary: £70,000 + OTE

The Position:
As Head of Business Development, you will develop and lead the company in sourcing, managing, and implementing new business opportunities. You will have a thorough understanding of the Facilities Management market and strategic selling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing new business opportunities for facilities management hard services and closing sales nationwide
- Leading the delivery and presentation of FM bids working closely with account directors and the operational team
- Developing the key wins and commercial offerings that meet the client’s needs
- Leading bids through the procurement cycle and providing strategic leadership for the bid team
- Working with the Account Management team and Projects team to support the direction of the current business plan
- Building strong relationships with clients, extracting necessary information so that bids go beyond just meeting the criteria
- Maintaining cost model through company or industry related changes
- Providing ideas to attract new clients, keeping senior management updated about the marketplace and competitor activity
- Contacting companies to establish needs and presenting how the company can meet them
- Planning tasks to ensure business development is maximised and targets/KPIs are achieved
The Candidate:
- Demonstrated track record of generating leads and closing new business opportunities in FM hard services
- Likely to have more than 10 years managerial and/or technical experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Excellent leadership and motivational people management skills
- Professional acumen, with excellent senior level influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen – understanding of contractual, financial risk factors
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Energetic, resilient, passionate, self-starter
- Excellent IT skills, including presentation software, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
