About Us:
JH Group are a well-established, expanding groundworks and construction company based in South Bristol. A position has recently opened for an experienced, reliable and hardworking Site Manager / Working Foreman who can hit the ground running on an existing groundworks project for a 15 dwelling housing development on the outskirts of Bristol (BS39).
The Role/Requirements:
The Site Manager / Working Foreman will be responsible for managing the sub-contract groundworks package on site, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget whilst maintaining a high level of health & safety as well as quality customer service. You will be responsible for liaising with the Principal Contractor on a daily basis, managing a team and third-party contractors, completing HSQE and QA forms and liaising with Contracts Manager as required.
Key Requirments:
- Management of groundworks project with a value of ≤ £1M.
- Assisting with co-ordinating & management of labour, materials and resources on site.
- Responsible for health & safety, risk assessments and safe work systems.
- Management of procedures and inspections required to ensure site is run smoothly.
- Day to day problem solving.
- Ensure onsite staff are directed, supported and trained where necessary.
- Represent the company to the best of your ability in regard to conduct, quality, communications and H&S.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
- Previous experience in a groundworks site management role.
- Motivated, proactive and organised.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT Literate, including use of Microsoft Office software.
