The role:
As part of Teknek’s continued commitment to reducing its overall impact, it is adopting the OECD Sustainable Manufacturing framework. Sustainability is now a key part of the company’s core strategy and already considerable improvements have been made.
We are now seeking an Environment and Sustainability advisor to help accelerate the program.
To be considered the successful candidate must have experience of working in an environmental and sustainability focused role, ideally related to a manufacturing process so something related.
You will be based in our modern offices located behind Glasgow Airport with good access to the M8.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Monitor, analyse and report on environmental and sustainability performance
- Champion improvement programs and help to make sustainability part of the DNA.
- Provide environmental guidance and training to staff and suppliers
- Foster sustainability across the value chain.
- Regular engagement with stakeholders, raising environmental awareness
The Candidate:
- An environmental/sustainability focused degree
- Experience working within an environmental/sustainability focused role
- The ability to communicate at all levels
- Experience or knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO 26000
- Manufacturing experience.
The right person will be self-motivated, able to bring new perspective whilst having a keen commercial focus. As well as championing the journey to Sustainable Manufacturing you will be a natural communicator able to engage at all levels.
Reporting to the Managing Director and forming part of the management team the successful candidate will have the chance to shape the future of the business.
