Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver-Operative
Location: Milton Park, Abingdon
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week over 5 days, Monday – Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Based in Milton Park, Abingdon we are looking for a Class 1 driver to join our growing team. Simon Hegele provide specialist logistics support to leading medical imaging manufacturers, we have exciting expansion plans and prioritise quality and professionalism.
This varied role combines hands-on logistics support with Class 1 driving between our warehouse in Milton Park and our client site in West Oxfordshire. With local driving and sociable working hours, we provide a safe and friendly working environment.
Job Duties:
- Receiving and handling goods
- Checking and safely loading your vehicle
- Transporting goods, primarily to local sites
- Off-loading goods before returning to Milton Park
To be successful, you will have a clean Class 1 (C+E) licence and be keen to train in operating a forklift and indoor crane. You will have an eye for detail and thrive in a process driven environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Clean and valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
- Up to date CPC and digital tachograph card
- Professional, customer focussed attitude
- Willingness to take on warehouse tasks alongside driving responsibilities
