The City of Lincoln Council has a housing stock of approximately 7,800 properties, carries out 30,000 repairs a year and turns around 650 empty properties for re-letting each year.
Join us at a challenging but exciting time for the Housing Repairs Service. We are introducing a new way of working called scheduled repairs and recently transformed our stores’ area to supply our materials inhouse with the support of a local supplier.
The Role:
There is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and established workforce at the City of Lincoln Council within the Housing Repairs Team.
Within the Housing Repairs Service, you will be working as part of a multi-trade team carrying out repairs and other work in social housing.
As an Electrician working within the Major Work and Empty Property teams, you will be working closely with the customers to ensure that customer satisfaction remains high. Work includes all types of electrical work, this is predominately in a domestic environment but will contain some 3 phase/industrial work where required. You will also be responsible for a business vehicle and a power tool kit that is provided.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant Electrical qualifications or experience
- A CSCS card
- Inspection and testing qualification
- Full driving license
- Initiative to achieve a first time fix
