Job Title: Lecturer in Computing – Networking and Hardware
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £33,797 – £38,017 p.a. with an opportunity to progress to £41,526 – AC2 Grade.
Job type: Permanent appointment; full and part-time contracts considered. Please state preference clearly within application.
The Role:
UCB has begun an exciting expansion plan to develop high tech courses and facilities to prepare graduates for careers of the future. With new labs for Computer Science and eSports ready to open in September 2021, we are now looking for forward-thinking individuals to work alongside us as we continue to grow and develop our digital offer.
You will contribute to the teaching of a broad range of Computing modules across our FE and Undergraduate programmes in the School of Business, Tourism and Creative Industries Department.
Areas of specialism may include:
- Cloud Environments
- Internet Security
- IT Troubleshooting and Service Provision
- Networking and Hardware Solutions
- Project Management Tools and Applications
- 3D Printing
Candidate Requirements:
You should have an IT-related first degree or equivalent professional qualification, complemented by prior teaching experience.
The successful candidate will be supported to undertake professional development to enhance teaching and learning, including the achievement of a recognised teaching qualification if not already held.
