The Role:
Do you have a person-centred approach to customer care? Are you passionate about assisting people with complex needs in difficult circumstances?
If you would like to be part of a team that identifies devises and implements solutions for the difficulties faced by homeless households, we would love to hear from you. Our vibrant Housing Needs Team provides a service aimed at preventing or relieving homelessness.
You will provide an Out of Hours service on a rota basis, responding to homelessness emergencies throughout the district including incidents in temporary accommodation.
About you:
You should have experience of housing advice, support work, and a comprehensive understanding of private and public sector housing law and the welfare benefits framework. You should have an appreciation of the circumstances that cause homelessness and be able to deal with members of the public sympathetically but firmly.
You should have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle, for which an appropriate mileage allowance is payable.
