Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Location: Redhill
Salary: £24,000.00pa to be reviewed upon successful completion of 6 months’ probation.
Job type: Full Time – Permanent.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the CNC Machine Operator operates CNC machines, maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records as appropriate: maintaining equipment and supplies.
The Role:
- Preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, etc.
- Preparing and loading raw materials and parts into the machines.
- Inspecting and measuring finished products and comparing them with technical and quality requirements to ensure correct completion of the process together with de-burring, shuffling and cleaning of finished parts as necessary-respecting all advised schedules and timelines for production. In respect of “first-runs” to ensure in consultation with the Setter that production output strictly adheres to specifications.
- As directed, cleaning and’ warming up’ all machines every morning, emptying swarf trays as appropriate.
- Ensuring that every machine procedure is undertaken in accordance with the company guidelines.
- In consultation with the Production Manager ensuring all machines remain well stocked with continuity of production at all times.
- Ensuring all machines operated throughout the day together with surrounding work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Strictly adhering to all health and safety procedures.
- Demonstrating a strong team approach ensuring clear communication with colleagues at all levels.
- Undertaking any other duties as may be required by the Management team.
