Omega Red Group (Omega Red), part of SSI Services (the specialist contracting arm of South Staffordshire Plc), is the market leader in electrical earthing and lightning protection systems. As electrical earthing contractors and lightning protection contractors, its systems are critical to customers in the rail, tram, construction, power, telecommunications and water industries.
We undertake all aspects of electrical earthing and lightning protection projects offering a fully integrated service capability from design to installation, testing and maintenance for commercial and industrial as well as FM and utilities sectors.
Recently we have further diversified into offering height safety testing and installation which is an exciting area of growth for the business.
Our head office is based in Nottingham although it has branches throughout the UK (Edinburgh, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol and London). Turnover for the last financial year was circa £15m with c250 employees.

About the role:
We are looking for a permanent Branch Operations Manager to work for Omega Red reporting directly to the Regional Manager based from Livingston.
Key duties
- To manage the day to day running of the Scotland region out of the Livingston office
- To assist the Regional Manager in achieving the branch’s targeted business performance
- To assist where necessary in the preparation and delivery of full quotations and tenders through an estimating team
- To liaise and develop strong relationships with key clients ensuring additional follow up work
- To ensure all of the regions activities are profit generating and perform in line with budget
- To work alongside the Supervisor to achieve the delivery of planned work through effectively managing a team of site based engineers
- To implement all necessary safety procedures and practices ensuring that all employees adhere to health and safety standards
About you:
- Strong commercial background with an excellent record of client delivery in a service business, delivering infrastructure services to commercial and industrial clients
- Experience within a variable multi-site contracting/construction sector
- A “roll your sleeves up and get stuck in” approach working hard to get things right first time with attention to detail
- A team player with excellent people management and communication skills
- Capable of operating at senior level and is able to support and develop the team
