Job Title: Chef De Partie / Commis Chef
Location: Erinas Kitchen, Glasgow
Salary: £8.91- £9.50 per hour
Chef de Partie: Three years-experience required
Commis Chef: One years-experience required
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time 40 -45 hours per week.
Erina’s Kitchen is a well-known cafe situated within a popular children’s entertainment complex, Fun Street.
The menu has everything from classic brunch favourites such as avocado toast to eggs Florentine in the morning. Or, pizzas, salads and homemade burgers for lunch and dinner.
The café holds up to 120 customers and regularly holds functions of up to 45 people.
The position:
Erina’s Kitchen is looking for an experienced Chef De Partie and Commis Chef to join the team in their beautiful restaurant.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- To create monthly menu changes.
- To make fresh homemade restaurant quality food using local ingredients.
- Assisting with the management of health and safety.
- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices.
- You’ll be expected to prepare high quality dishes while also support the Head Chef with managing all aspects of the kitchen.
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes.
- Assisting the head chef developing dishes.
- Monitoring portion and waste control.
- Adherence to company policy and procedures.
- Assisting in the opening and closing of the kitchen.
The Candidate:
- Must have a can-do attitude and good work ethic.
- Passionate about food.
- The ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Excellent cooking skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Not afraid of hands-on prep.
