We have a fantastic opportunity available for a talented and enthusiastic Inventory Controller to join our team. Reporting to the Planning and Production Control Manager you will organise, monitor and control, and report on ADEY’s global inventory levels across the Adey Group.
Duties include:
- Generate, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all ADEY’s global inventory, including identification and disposition of slow-moving stock.
- Assist with ADEY’s annual stock count and associated cycle counts.
- Create and monitor KPI’s for effective inventory management.
- Advise and set re-order point figures for stock, in order to ensure continuity of supply, and on time delivery performance.
- Ensure accuracy of Business & Warehouse Management Systems against physical stock positions, leading understanding of variance root causes and implementing associated corrective and preventive actions.
- Actively engage in ADEY’s SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning) process, leading the inventory aspects in the Supply and Executive elements.
- Create and monitor an inventory model against budget numbers and present at SIOP Executive Meeting
- Lead development of ADEY’s Warehouse Management Systems, including being ADEY’s Warehouse Management Systems Champion, advising on best practice and future developments/opportunities.
- Champion Kanban and two bin reordering principles where appropriate.
- Ensure quarantined parts are clearly segregated from clean inventory, supporting regular review and disposition activities to ensure timely and effective management.
- Work with Quality function to ensure that defective supplied inventory is returned to supplier via correct process, and any follow up actions are completed, such as replacement or credit.
- Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities related to inventory and warehouse activities.
- Assist in Economic batch size calculation to optimise both WIP/Finished Stock Storage and Product Shipment.
- Promote and adhere to the companies H&S procedures and policies.
- Assist in Production Planning during staff holidays or absence
About you:
The successful candidate will have experience of inventory management and reporting within an ERP / MRP environment across an international business with remote distribution hubs. Ideally, they will also have experience in high volume, high stock turn manufacturing environment and just in time knowledge.
Excellent Excel skills required.
- We are looking for a highly organised, analytical operator who is an excellent communicator.
- Knowledge of stock control systems, and push and pull techniques is essential and a MCIPS or MIOM qualification would be ideal.
