Job Title: Finance Controller
Location: London
Salary: Competitive depending on experience
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
The business has gone through significant structural and system change and now requires a Financial Controller to support the Finance Director in the effective and efficient day to day running of the finance department.
What will you be doing?
Key Areas
- Preparation and review of month end board pack
- Ensuring month end close by day 5
- Production of sales reporting pack
- Monthly commission calculations
- Co-ordinate and manage year end audit.
- Manage, motivate and develop a transactional team
- Identify and implement improvements within the function
- Oversee quarterly VAT returns and submissions
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Projects
- Supporting the integration of newly implemented accounting systems
- Assist in the roll-out of further projects as and when required
- BI Software rollout
- Expenses software
About you:
- Good system skills (preferably Sage 200 but not essential).
- Accountancy qualification with a recognised accountancy body.
- Demonstrable experience in managing staff
- Good understanding of the objectives and workings of internal financial control.
- Ability to quickly build relationships with external and internal contacts at all levels with confidence.
- Experience of managing finance projects/ implementations
- IT/ technology background a bonus
- Deadline orientated
