Job Title: Compliance and Operations Manager

Location: Sydenham, Lewisham

Salary: £42,200 – £47,000 depending on experience

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated Compliance & Operations Manager to ensure the excellent standards of service delivery of 100+ bed spaces supporting people and vulnerable adults who suffer from mental health illnesses. This is a key management position responsible for providing operation leadership to ensure that firstly, each accommodation is fully compliant with QAF performance standards and maintains its Level A accreditation and secondly, overall the organisation achieves standards of excellence and performance standards. The position holder will be responsible for managing and improving the operational systems, processes, policies and procedures in support of better management reporting, information flow and management, business processes, and organisational planning

Key Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in business administration, operations management or a related field to compliance and quality assurance
  • Over 5 years’ experience of compliance and operations management ideally in health and social care or mental health in supported housing sector
  • Experience in regulatory frameworks such as CQC, Regulator of Social Housing or ideally Quality Assessment Framework (QAF)
  • Experience of writing and implementing policies, procedures and department handbooks
  • Experience of organising and delivering training workshops in disciplines within the health and social care sector and supported housing
  • Strong organisational skills, be able to multi-task and re-prioritise at short notice and be an effective communicator alongside having an eye for detail and the ability to analyse and produce a variety of reports
  • Work well under pressure and take accountability to ensure that services are operating at optimum performance levels
  • Knowledge of mental health illnesses and relevant legislation and regulation
  • Experience in recruitment, induction and training of staff
  • Understanding of financial management in terms of planning, budgeting and monitoring of financial performance
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and excellence written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use information management systems to monitor progress and identify key trends, patterns and themes
  • Operate and performance against KPIs and analyse data to identify themes, trends and insights and to make recommendations for improvements
  • Proven experience in quality standards and continuous improvement systems and approach
  • Experience in governance systems and structures including auditing skills, risk management, investigations, complaint handling and report writing
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external & internal stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills and digital dexterity
