Job Title: Router (CNC & Manual) Operator / Diamond Miller – Day or Night Shift

The Company is a well-established manufacturer and are renowned experts in machining, bonding and finishing engineering grade plastics, especially Acrylic. They supply global, blue-chip customers in industries including life sciences, medical devices and industrial applications with solutions including fluidic manifolds and optical components.
The Role:
They’re looking for Router Operators / Diamond Millers who will be able to set up & run parts. These operators have the opportunity to grow in the company through training and experience.
Candidates need to be able to work on their own, able to multitask across a number of machines and be proactive to ensure components meet quality requirements, working closely with QA.
Key Responsibilities for Operators:
- Operation of machinery including manual routers, CNC routers and diamond milling
- Liaise with Shop Floor Manager on timescales and priorities
- Ensure consistent quality of parts produced
- Be proactive in ensuring work has all necessary tooling to avoid downtime
- Ensure all work and raw materials in your area are correctly identified with the relevant paperwork
- Work with QA personnel on addressing any issues and supporting continuous improvement actions
The Candidate:
The role is suitable for someone with a record of accomplishment in manual routing, CNC routing and/ or diamond milling, ideally with some experience of plastics. Training will be provided as required.
Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Experience operating manual routers or CNC routers.
- Able to read technical drawings and follow clear instructions.
- Able to use manual measuring equipment
- Willingness to learn and progress
Desirable
- Diamond Milling
