The company is a long established business with operations in the UK & India. They work across numerous markets including; car wash, truck and bus wash, rail wash and heavy industrial washing of commercial and military vehicles.
The Role
They are currently looking for a reliable Operations Engineer to oversee maintenance, carry out checks, cleaning and minor repairs to valeting equipment at designated sites within a set geographical area and pre-determined timetable
Looking for c20 engineers to cover the following regions; Dundee, Nairn, Newcastle, Durham, Nottingham, Leicester, Stoke, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Bedford, Northamptonshire, Sheffield, Manchester, Bolton, Liverpool, Chester, Leeds, Hull, North London, East London, Ipswich, Colchester, Norwich, Thetford, Worthing, Crawley, Southampton, Bristol, Gloucester and Belfast.
Key Requirements:
- Carry out checks to the equipment in the Plant Room in accordance with the care check list
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Wash Bays and vehicle wash equipment in accordance with the care check list
- Carry out test washes on Car Wash and check/replenish chemical levels to the machine in accordance with the care check list and ensure the machine is operating to the required standard
- Carry out test washes on Jet Wash and check/replenish chemical levels to the machine in accordance with the care check list and ensure the machine is operating to the required standard
- Carry out physical check of Vacuum and maintain the vacuum in accordance with the care check list and ensure the machine is operating to the required standard
- Carry out a physical check of the Air Water Tower(s). Test and clean equipment in accordance with the care check list and ensure the machine is operating to the required standard
- Undertake basic adjustment, minor repairs and replacements of hand-held equipment components with a view to maximising equipment availability and the quality of the customer offer
- Communicate effectively with the Company and site staff to ensure that work is being carried out efficiently and in a timely manner
The Candidate:
- Hold a current, full driving licence
- Excellent communicator with both line manager, customers and across departments
- Have a positive, ‘can do’ approach to the role
- Ability to work to set routine independently with the ability to take initiative
- Understand what it is to be an Ambassador of the Company
- Has an engineering background

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday – 40 hrs pw / 8 hrs per day plus 0.5 hrs unpaid lunch each day.
Possible weekend working available (not compulsory) if required by the company on a
Pre-agreed overtime basis for which premium rates are paid.
