The Role
They are now looking for a full time Accounts and Compliance Assistant to support a busy firm of solicitors. Although Knowledge of accounts procedures would be helpful, this is not essential as in house training will be provided.
Key Requirements:
- Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner
- Check and file client ID and if required, verify ID via video
- Check new files report and complete ID spreadsheet
- Check and record staff holidays
- Raise invoices for car parking space rental
- Act as holiday/sickness cover for the Accounts Manager
- Assist the Compliance Manager with the Firm’s various policies and procedures contained in the office manual
- Other general duties from time to time
The Candidate:
- Possess a good understanding of Word and Excel
- Ability to deal with clients at all levels
- Ability to manage & prioritise different duties
- Familiarity with accounts procedures, client ledgers, disbursements and office accounts is helpful but not essential as inhouse training will be provided
- High standard of numeracy and accuracy with attention to detail
- A team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn
- Outgoing and confident personality who is able to operate at all levels
