Job Title: Customer Service and Ticketing Champions

Location: St. Ives, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £9 per hour

Job Type: Full Time or Part Time, Seasonal (October 2020 – Mid-January 2021)

The most established temporary event solutions company in the UK is looking for motivated, energetic individuals to join the Customer Services team ahead of a busy Ice Event season.

The company operates 7 managed Ice Rink Christmas Events across the UK but this role will be based at the Customer Service Centre in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire or, if a suitable workspace is available, can be worked from home. You will effectively support in servicing all inbound customer service enquiries; initial training and occasional meetings will take place at St Ives – so occasional travel to the office will be required.

Their innovative, dynamic and creative team is looking to recruit likeminded individuals to join them. Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, you will get all the training and support you need to be successful in this role. They’re looking for a person with the right attitude and personality profile and with Customer Services experience, but the rest can be learnt.

Role Overview:

  • Prioritise and process customer requests / enquiries submitted by telephone, e-mail, live chat, instant message or through social media
  • Respond in a friendly but professional manner to social media comments
  • Help customers process their ticket orders
  • Write emails in a professional manner using standard English
  • Inform clients by explaining procedures; answering questions; providing information
  • Maintain thorough and accurate customer service records
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints quickly and patiently, following Arena guidelines, documenting all correspondence / outcomes
  • Refer complaints to CSM as required, following company policy
  • Keep confidential records and financial information private and secure
  • Work as part of the sales team to drive positive company sales results
  • Liaise with other departments and the rinks as necessary and in a timely, professional manner
  • Maintain communication equipment by reporting problems
  • Maintain and improve quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines
  • Occasional assistance to the marketing team when/if time allows e.g. Social Media posting

Working hours:

The seasonal Calendar starts in November and ends in January so they’re looking to recruit Customer Service and Ticketing Champion roles between October and Mid-January 2021.

Regular rostered weekend work will be required from November 2020.

The team will work on a rota throughout the Christmas period – the rinks are only shut on Christmas Day. It is imperative the whole team is available for the busiest period which is from 18th December to 3rd January.

The team will work a Monday – Sunday rota, 37.5 hours between 0830 and 1730 each day.

Consideration will be given to part time applicants.
