Job Title: Business Development Director

This role is to support the Company’s growth in acquiring new clients via IFAs, financial advisers and accountants using IFA links only. Along with support the planners and investment managers in acquiring new clients working directly with planners/managers and through engagement with professional services providers.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the business development plan focusing primarily in London and the South East
  • Implement plans and forecasts with our Investment Directors
  • Improve new client acquisition and client retention by working closely with external supporters
  • Increase the referral numbers from external supporters
  • Input into the Proposition (service/product) development process by providing market feedback
  • Deliver within a compliant framework and adhere to corporate and regulatory quality standards
  • Work effectively with Marketing to deliver collateral, communications and events
  • Work effectively with the External Adviser Business Development team and Punter Southall Wealth were relevant to share best practice

Skills & Experience

  • Leadership, competence, credibility, empathy and resilience
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships
  • Expert understanding (at least five years) of the UK financial services advice market
  • Ability to engage effectively at every level of firms, organisations and associations to board level
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactics effectively
  • Systematic approach to planning and execution of professional responsibilities
  • Strong presentation skills and excellent written and oral communicative ability
  • Highly effective in a team environment but with a demonstrable track record as a self-starter
  • Committed to maintaining the highest professional standards and ongoing personal development
  • 2:1 Degree and relevant industry qualifications an advantage
  • Strong existing network of supporters an advantage
