Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Leeds / Yorkshire based

Salary: £38,000 to £45,000 dependent on experience.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (Average 37 hours per)

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join an expanding business and be part of a dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales preferably from a background in manufacturing business sales and operations.

The company provides robust hydraulic solutions for customers who prefer a partner not just a vendor and is one of the leading European specialists. As professionals in design, manufacture, assemble, service and test the company pioneers multi-fluid trials to maximise the value of alternative hydraulic fluids. The company’s goal is to lead development in hydraulic solutions for demanding applications.

This is a challenging role which requires a customer driven, energetic and motivated approach, focussed on business growth. The position will include occasional overseas travel.

Main duties will include:

  • Develop and execute sales strategy to identify, expand and grow non-traditional markets
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key accounts and market growth
  • Sales of hydraulic solutions to OEMs and Users
  • Grow Business in assigned UK markets
  • Serve existing accounts
  • Develop and deploy marketing and sales tools, marketing activities along with sales activities
  • Coordinate marketing and sales activities within the Europe group
  • Acquisition of new accounts in the sales territory
  • Consult customer in project phase, technically and economically
  • Working-out proposals and follow-up of proposals
  • Handling and negotiation of system contracts and closing of contracts
  • Coordinating role in order processing to customer; support of project management
  • Meet with customers to discuss their needs and assess how the Company can meet them to expand their sales growth

Essential Requirements:

  • Knowledge of engineered systems preferably in heavy duty stationary equipment like the steel industry
  • Knowledge of manufacturing assembly of systems which consist of welding technology, piping and wiring

Desirable:

  • Experience in sales of hydraulic systems and components, international markets or close activity with same business processing profile
  • Working knowledge of engineering designs of industrial equipment systems
  • Applications in engineering or sales of fluid power and hydraulic pumps
  • Sales experience of industrial equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing and/or Engineering with an MBA preferred
