Operating Hours: Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Monday, Thursday & Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Description:

As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will be an integral part of our dental team, assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure smooth operations in the clinic. You will work closely with experienced dental professionals and receive on-the-job training to develop your skills in dental nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during patient examinations and treatments
  • Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, including sterilising instruments and setting up equipment
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required
  • Provide support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Ensure patient records are accurately updated and maintained
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and practice guidelines
  • Manage stock levels and order supplies when needed
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate attitude towards patients
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work well within a team and take direction from experienced staff
  • A desire to develop professionally within the dental field
  • Previous experience in healthcare or a customer-facing role is a plus, but not essential

Requirements:

  • Proof of enrolment in a recognised dental nursing course
  • Ability to remain composed and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Hepatitis B vaccinated
  • Legal right to work in the UK, valid Visa, National Insurance Number
  • Resides within a reasonable distance from the practice
