Job Title: Senior Stock Controller
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum depending on experience

A rapidly growing and established fashion-wear company in Salford is seeking a Stock Controller to join their team at the fashion studio.
The ideal candidate needs to be responsible, accountable for shipment logistics and warehouse management
In this role, you will lead a small warehouse team and be responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and tracking of products within the warehouse facilities. Your keen attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the seamless flow of goods and the success of our distribution operations.
Please note that the company does not offer sponsorship and therefore candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the UK and live within a commutable distance from Salford.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage in-coming shipments
- Organise delivery schedules and invoicing
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records, both at site and with external contractors
- Generate reports on stock levels, order status, inventory performance for management review
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of incoming stock
- Monitor inventory turnover rates and take proactive measures to address slow-moving or obsolete items
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience in stock control
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to priorities tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Sales & Account Management, Finance, and Merchandising
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Driving licence for small van
