Job Title: Chemical Plant (Packing) Operator
Location: PQ Silicas – Warrington Site
Salary: £37,000 per annum

The role:
To safely carry out the duties of a chemical plant packer across multiple areas of the plant. Working on a variable shift pattern as part of a team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Preparation and set-up of the packing system in line with standard instructions. Ensuring all packaging, equipment, labelling and raw materials are available for the specific planned product and tonnage.
- Working closely under the guidance of the Microniser Operator to meet set KPI’s
- Adherence to packing guidelines for sampling, pack presentation, labelling, weight control, addition of additives, reworking and adhering to good manufacturing practice.
- Active involvement complying with safety, environmental and Company standards, including auditing, reporting, team improvement activities and housekeeping in multiple areas.
- Communicate both verbally and in written format, in a timely fashion. Including completion of batch documentation, handover , assisting others to improve knowledge and understanding
- Cleandown of process equipment and packing areas, maintaining GMP standards.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant Industrial experience – mandatory
- Manual Handling skills (formal training – preferable)
- Experience of 24 hour continuous shift working – preferable
- Units and elements of C&G PT2 Process Plant Operations or NVQ level 1 – desirable
- Current FLT – powered hand truck license – desirable
