Position Overview:
We are in search of an experienced and highly capable Foreman to lead our joinery factory operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing our manufacturing processes to ensure they are carried out efficiently, safely, and effectively. As a hands-on leader, you will not only manage but also directly engage with your team, ensuring high-quality production and workplace morale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Management:

- Direct and supervise a team of skilled craftsmen, maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity.
- Manage daily operations, including job scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
- Train, mentor, and assess team members to foster a constructive and efficient work environment.
- Quality Control:

- Manage quality assurance protocols to ensure all products meet precise standards and client expectations.
- Perform regular inspections of both ongoing and completed work to ensure consistent quality.
- Production Planning:

- Create and execute production schedules to fulfil project deadlines and client requirements.
- Supervise inventory levels and liaise with suppliers to secure materials on schedule.
- Enhance production methods to boost efficiency, decrease waste, and minimize operational downtime.
- Health and Safety:

- Enforce adherence to all safety regulations and company policies within the factory setting.
- Conduct routine safety audits and risk evaluations, promptly mitigating any identified risks.
- Cultivate a safety-first culture within the team.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain open and effective communication channels with management, team members, and clients.
- Compile and deliver regular reports detailing production status, team performance, and any arising challenges.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that production activities are well-integrated with broader business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Extensive experience as a Foreman or in a similar leadership role in joinery or woodworking.
- In-depth knowledge of joinery techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- A strong commitment to quality, safety, and continual improvement.
- Relevant certifications in health and safety or quality management are beneficial.
