About the Role:
The Health & Safety Consultancy role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the health and safety policies and procedures for multiple clients. This role will involve teaching, completing Fire Risk Assessments and the scope to evolve and drive positive change.
Playing a crucial part in ensuring the well-being of our clients, and the communities in which we operate. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of health and safety regulations, a proven track record of implementing successful safety programs, and the ability to lead and inspire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to gather information and review current business processes.
- Working collaboratively with all departments of the clients to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and programs for clients and also EP Risk Consultancy.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure the implementation of effective control measures and recommend future controls.
- Identify and report safety performance trends, working with relevant internal stakeholders to develop improvement plans.
- Conduct training sessions to educate the clients on safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the company’s safety programs.
- Define and embed a safety culture across all levels of the business.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Certificate qualified as a minimum.
- NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent Level 6 H&S qualification would be advantageous.
- Professional membership to IOSH.
- A Fire Risk Assessor would be advantageous.
- A teaching qualification would be advantageous.
- An experienced First Aid Instructor would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in a multi-site role.
- Passionate about improving systems, processes, and the customer experience.
- Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- A proactive and strong communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders and influence change.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective health and safety programs.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and develop proactive strategies.
