Job Title: Despatch / Materials Coordinator
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Job type: Full time, Permanent
We are looking to recruit a despatch/material coordinator to work in a busy and expanding company in the West of Newcastle. Ensuring goods are assembled and packaged for despatch also take responsibility for stock and consumable control and management, also the direct supervision of approx. 4 personell.
Description:
- Supervise assembly personnel to ensure the smooth running of the order dispatch operation, including training and performance management.
- Motivate and inspire the team by developing team spirit and potential to maximize team performance.
- Issue staff workloads and ensure that all tasks align with the shift manager’s instructions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfilment and inventory control.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Personal Skills required:
- Proven experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Computer literate, proficient with email and spreadsheets, experienced in warehouse data systems.
- Demonstrable problem-solving abilities and quality awareness.
- Able to work within a fast-paced environment to ensure company requirements are consistently met.
- Strong organisation skills and time management.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- FLT licence.
Working hours:
- Mon / Thursday 07.30 – 16.30
- Friday: 07.30 – 12.30
